THE TRUTH THAT HOLDS ALL THINGS TOGETHER

The quest for truth is the great unifier—the one hunger that rises from the marrow of every human soul. This week, as we watch congressional hearings on COVID origins, debates on election integrity, and the restless shifting of global powers, one thing becomes painfully clear: without objective, transcendent truth, we are adrift. Truth brings peace, harmony, and resolve. Lies produce only perpetual tension, instability, and a future built on sand.
But truth is not merely a concept to be debated. Truth is a Person.
Jesus declared with stunning clarity: "You are of your father the devil... he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me." (John 8:44-45). That is the cosmic divide. Light versus darkness. The Father of Truth versus the father of lies.
And here is the sobering reality: lies are not just mistakes—they are moral choices. Darkness blinds not because it is unavoidable, but because humanity has loved the darkness rather than the light (John 3:19). Rejection of “Design” is not merely willful ignorance—it is intellectual dishonesty that defies all reason.
Truth begins with four words: "In the beginning, God." (Genesis 1:1). That is not a religious slogan; it is the foundational reality upon which all science, all logic, and all meaning rest.
Creation is God's love letter to humanity. Every glacier carved in majesty, every whale breaching in the deep, every mountain that pierces the heavens—they all declare His glory (Psalm 19:1).
I have just returned from Alaska, and standing amidst that splendor, I found myself singing: "You are worthy of it all—for from You are all things, and to You are all things, You deserve the glory." And I felt a profound sadness for those who refuse to recognize the Author in the art.
The complexity of a single human cell—with its precision coding, its molecular machinery, its information-dense DNA—cannot be an accident. The universe's fine-tuning cannot be random. As astronomer Allan Sandage observed, "The scientific enterprise is an act of faith that the universe is orderly and comprehensible—a reflection of a rational Creator." Astronomer Johannes Kepler wrote that he was "thinking God's thoughts after Him" as he studied the heavens. Francis Collins, director of the Human Genome Project, testified that the elegance of DNA points unmistakably to "the mind of God."
Consider this: a paint factory exploding and covering a canvas in a perfect Da Vinci fresco—every pigment precisely in place, every brushstroke impossible without intention. It is absurd. Yet we are asked to believe that the universe, far more intricate than any masterpiece, happened without a Master. That is not science. That is a refusal to see what is plainly before our eyes.
Jesus is the "Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). All wisdom, all knowledge, all genuine truth finds its source in Him. Truth is not a destination we arrive at by human effort alone—it is a Person we submit to. And when we do, we find peace. Not the fragile peace of agreement, but the deep peace of alignment with reality itself.
May His peace be upon you. May you see His hand in creation.
And may you rest in the Truth that holds all things together.
